This elegantly appointed lodge places anglers within easy reach of five of Patagonia’s premier trout fisheries—the Chimehuín, Malleo, Caleufu, Aluminé, Collón Curá Rivers, and numerous remote lakes—offering ultimate variety and convenience.
Guests stay in spacious private chalets, each with its own two-bedroom layout and shared facilities designed for comfort and privacy. Daily fishing excursions—ranging from drift-boat floats to wade-and-explore trips—take you to crystal-clear rivers where prolific mayfly, caddis, and hopper hatches bring healthy brownie and rainbow populations to the surface.
While the lodge itself offers serene surroundings, the real magic unfolds on the water. Casual luxury, impeccable service, and a dynamically curated fishing program make Spring Creek Lodge an ideal base for anglers seeking flexibility, and the full spectrum of fly fishing Argentina’s best trout rivers.
Spring Creek Lodge blends modern comfort with traditional Argentine charm. Located on a private ranch near Junín de los Andes, the lodge features 6 private chalets—each with two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a cozy living space. These thoughtfully designed units provide privacy and comfort, ideal for fishing friends or couples.
The main lodge is the heart of the property, home to the dining room, bar, and lounge where guests gather to enjoy regionally inspired meals, fine Argentine wines, and relaxed conversation by the fire. Meals are prepared by an in-house chef and emphasize fresh, locally sourced ingredients—including produce from the lodge’s own garden.
While designed for anglers, Spring Creek Lodge also caters to non-angling companions. Guided excursions include scenic drives, bird watching, hiking in Lanín National Park, horseback riding, and cultural visits to nearby towns and Mapuche communities. Wine tastings and wellness-focused activities such as yoga or massage can be arranged upon request.
The combination of rustic elegance, personalized service, and diverse activity options makes Spring Creek Lodge a standout for fishing and non-fishing guests alike.
Spring Creek Lodge offers access to an extraordinary variety of waters throughout northern Patagonia. Within easy driving distance, guests can explore over a dozen diverse fisheries—ranging from large freestone rivers and technical spring creeks to small mountain streams and secluded lakes. These waters hold healthy populations of wild rainbow and brown trout, with opportunities for both quantity and quality.
Anglers will fish well-known rivers like the Chimehuin, Collón Curá, Malleo, and Aluminé, as well as lesser-known creeks and lakes. This diversity allows for tailored fishing experiences based on conditions, angler ability, and personal preference—from drifting dries along willow-lined banks to stalking spring creek browns or stripping streamers from a raft.
Anglers will utilize a drift boat or raft each day and may get out to wade a side channel or riffle as much as they like. The fishing guides at Spring Creek Lodge are all local, professional Argentines with many years working these waters. With advanced notice, all gear can be provided.
Spring Creek is the only lodge in the region that includes an optional overnight at one of their riverside outpost camps. With a full camp crew, anglers will fish all day, end up at a deluxe camp for the night, and can start fishing even before breakfast is served.
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, Spring Creek Lodge delivers a first-class Patagonian fishing experience with unmatched variety and flexibility.
