The second week of march is over, the group was formed with three new and three repeaters.
The first two days the fishing was very good following what had happened the previous week. In those two days we had a lot of rain, on Wednesday the river began to rise, it got very dirty, so the fishing got very difficult , we were able to take out some, we use very larger flies, sometimes two flies together, a tube fly followed by a leech or intruder.
We landed 42 fish, 9 over 15 pounds, 1 over 20 pounds.
Top rod of the week was Michael graham with 12 fish on the net. Alejandro Gancedo got the biggest fish with 22 pounds.

Water Conditions
Water color and visibility: clear, rose on Wednesday.
Water temperature: 7c to 14c.
Water level: high water.

Weather Conditions
Wind speed ranges through the week:the wind wasn’t strong.
Air temperature ranges through the week : 4c. to 21c.
Wheather observations (sun, rain, fog, etc.):a lot of rain.

Fishing Conditions
Flies that are working the best: Different sizes of sunray shadows, small salmon flies, nymph ( scuds,red tail, emb, prince, pheasant tail), green machine , for the last hour (intruder, leech, sunray ).
Until Wednesday emb was the best flies, after that river rioso and get really dirty less than 10 cm of visibility. We use large flies, even two flies together (tube with a leech o intruder).
scandi with poly leaders drifting or striping according to the speed of the water.
In deeper pools , sinking lines with nymphs dead drifting.
Fly lines (tips, heads, lengths, densities, etc) that are producing the best: Skagit heads with different lengths of T-20,17,14, 11, scandi with polyleaders .
Sinking skagit (game changer ), with high water in deep pools.
We recommend bringing two rods, one to use with scandi and another with skagit lines, and also a single handed rod or switch rod for the upper part of the river.
Length and strength of tippet and leaders: 7 to 12 feet. 15 to 20 pounds.
Middle and upper part of the river is the best.
We started to see some darker fish.

Number of anglers for the week: 6.
Total number of fish landed for the week: 42.
Weight of the biggest fish landed for the week: 22 pounds .
Number of fish landed over 15 pounds: 9.
Number of fish landed over 20 pounds:1.
Average weight: 9,5 pounds.
Notable catches: great 19 pounds male, in really dirty water.
