Despedida Lodge -Great week!

Two anglers return from fishing Despedida Lodge on the Rio Grande, Mar 7-14, 2015.  They both caught over 40 fish each in 6 days!

I had a great experience booking my trip to Despedida Lodge through Fly Fishing Patagonia.  Justi’s advice about what to expect in both Buenas Aires and when I got to the lodge was spot in.  Everything about the trip couldn’t have gone smoother thanks to Fly Fishing Patagonia.  As for Despedida, it is a great lodge.  Meals were very good and the lodge, capped at six anglers, has an intimate feel.  Best of all, the guides and water were both fantastic and the longest drive to a pool was about 15 minutes. My biggest was a 23.5 pound Sea Run Brown.  However, there were multiple twenty pounders landed during the week in Despedida despite only 4 anglers fishing that week. If you want to fish some great water on the Rio Grande and maximize your time on the water, Despedida is a great choice.
